The Buria turret is an autonomous remote weapon station designed for accurate, stand‑off engagement using the Mk 19 / RDS40 grenade launchers or the Browning M2. It improves operator safety and optimizes ammunition use by allowing fully remote operation of a 40 mm grenade launcher while delivering fast, precise fire on target.

Specifications:

  • Dimensions: 1200 × 1400 × 800 mm
  • Compatible weapons: Mk 19, RDS40, Browning M2
  • Module weight: 47 kg
  • Ammunition capacity: 32–64 rounds
  • Positioning accuracy: 20 cm at 1 km
  • Data transmission: IP (wired and wireless)
  • Autonomous operation time: up to 48 hours
  • Deployment time: 12 minutes
  • Y‑axis elevation range: – 15° to +60°
  • X‑axis rotation range: 360°

Key Features

Use cases:

  • Stationary operation on tripod
  • Integration with compatible UGVs

Connectivity:

  • When mounted on compatible UGVs (Termit, Tanchyk, Ardal, Bureviy, Ravlyk, etc.), the turret connects via the vehicle’s digital (IP) network.
  • When used on a tripod, it can be connected via Ethernet cable (two 50‑meter reels).

Targeting & Fire Control

  • Map-based targeting through the turret control software with an integrated ballistic calculator. The operator selects a point on the map, and the turret automatically calculates azimuth and barrel elevation, accounting for weather, grenade temperature, ammunition type, height differences, etc.
  • Manual input of fire data from Kropyva and Armor (azimuth/directional angle/elevation, etc.).
  • Recoil absorption system for improved grouping.
  • Automatic compensation for tripod/UGV tilt via onboard sensors.
  • Ability to store 16 groups of 16 targets; switching between any targets takes under 3 seconds.
  • Integrated elevation map.
  • Programmable firing pattern: fire missions in a defined sector using patterns such as line, square, or ellipse. The operator sets the number of shots, interval, pattern type, and target size — upon “fire” command the turret autonomously calculates all impact points, slews the weapon, and fires at each point.

Additional Capabilities:

  • Live map display showing turret position and target locations.
  • Built‑in camera with sight for azimuth determination and direct‑fire aiming.
  • Optional thermal imager.
  • Automatic shot‑correction function: the operator clicks the actual impact point on the map, and the system computes and applies corrections.
  • Software-defined fire sector limits.
  • Fire modes: burst / single shot / programmable pattern fire.
  • Gyro‑stabilized mode for firing while the vehicle is moving.
